Get into the Game with an Entry level Mini Racing Drone

For beginners and experts, the XK X130-T RC mini racing drone is considered to be a great little quadcopter that anyone can pick up and have fun during the holidays.

With a flurry of features and cheap price, the XK X130-T is accessible to anyone who wants to try flying for the first time, or someone experienced who just wants to have fun. This little guy measures in at 2.4 inches long and 2.4 wide, making ideal for flying around inside as well as outside.

Durability

The drone is built on a one-piece mainframe with a sleek, stylish and sturdy design.

The standard model does not protect the propellers, but a cheap $2 investment in a cover can help protect your drone from some inevitable crashes. The drone is mostly plastic but is very durable and strong.

Range

With its 4 channel 2.4GHz Remote control, you shouldn’t have any issues with range.

You probably would lose sight of the drone before you lost connection. 328 feet The controls are very responsive with little to no lag or delay. The remote control is comfortable to hold

Flying

The XK X130-T RC mini racing drone features a precise 6 axis gyro, providing stability and ease of use. It’s a complete blast flying and doesn’t require any prior flying experience. It’s fast, nimble and agile all while being easy to control.

The only downside I can think of that unlike the more expensive drones, the drone does not have GPS, so it can drift around a little. But this is expected for a drone with a sub $40 price. I recommend only using it indoors or outside only with little to no wind. Because of its size, the drone can easily be carried away by a gust of wind.

Camera?

One thing people get confused with is whether or not it has a camera. The H107L which is what I am reviewing does not. If you want a XK X130-T RC mini racing drone.

Its a little more expensive, around $10 more, but is still a great option for those of you who want a camera. Keep in mind it only takes videos, no photos and don’t expect much in terms of video quality.

Another option is theXK X130-T RC mini racing drone. This drone is much larger than the normal X4 and comes with a

Repairing

Parts for the drone are readily available and inexpensive. This may seem minor, buts it’s a welcomed change. Parts for larger drones tend to be very expensive and costs can add up very quickly.

With this drone, if you crash it, it’s not a big deal, batteries cost a couple bucks, propellers are even cheaper, and if you completely demolish your drone, you can buy an entirely new drone for $30.

I recommend buying a propeller blade protection cover for your drone, they are cheap insurance and protect your drone from most crashes.

Big Vs Small

The flying experience differs greatly between small drones and large drones. Small drones are usually much lighter and don’t require as powerful motors.

This makes smaller drones agiler and its a lot easier to fly indoors. Also due to its propeller size, small drones produce a buzzing sound, sometimes comparable to a large bee. Larger drones require more power to lift themselves off the ground.

When I got my Parrot Ar Drone 2.0, which is a large drone, I was really surprised how powerful it felt and sounded when it took off.  These might seem minor, but the flying experience is noticeably different.

If you are just starting out, I highly recommend buying a smaller drone first. This is because of it cheaper so if you break it, it’s not the end of the world.

Buying

Some customers have reported poor quality drones or even knockoff. This rarely happens though, and in case it does, a good drone store will always handle your enquiry.

Good beginner Drone?

This is an excellent beginner drone for several reasons, but the main reason is the price. When you are not familiar with flying a drone, the last thing you want to do is buy a super expensive drone and find out you actually don’t like flying drones that much.

Or you could buy an expensive drone then crash it because you’re not experienced. That’s why when you’re buying your first drone, I recommend buying a cheap drone.

They are no less fun than larger drones and they’re not a huge investment either. One thing I don’t like about this drone is that it doesn’t have blade protectors. You have to buy them separately.
