My Little Opulence

Rachel Goodman is a Brisbane based creative soul who, under the banner of My Little Opulence, specialises in making the best, most opulent, luxurious, colourful cushions in Brisbane. Rachel is MLO. Rachel obsessively sources all of the fabrics and trims, cuts, sews, photographs and sells her beautiful cushions. 

I love creating beautiful things. I call them collectors items”. Many days and weeks have been spent traipsing the streets of London and Paris to source the meters and meters of the most beautiful delicious fabrics and trims.

“With a vibrant colour palette I craft pieces to hold on to. Typically, when hunting for fabric, I am captivated by an idea or an image. I love the act of choosing the separate parts and putting them together. I enjoy breaking the ‘rules’ of current sparse modern aesthetic interior decor trends, bringing some soul and romance back into our lounge room. I encourage my clientele to have the confidence to be creative, imaginative and adventurous in the manner in which they their home, it is their castle after all. I believe that layering is a way we all have to cherish memories. I love interiors filled with obsessions, that show a vein of eccentricity.”
