About Us
I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Social Work and a Graduate Diploma in Relationship Counselling. I have been registered as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker since 2011. For over 10 years I have specialised in providing bereavement counselling to adults, children and young people. I have also worked extensively with people experiencing challenges related to the diagnosis and treatment of a life-threatening illness and their family members and carers.
To enable me to be as effective a counsellor as possible I draw upon a range of counselling theory and skills including acceptance and commitment therapy, gestalt therapy, positive psychology, strengths-based practice, narrative therapy, radical exposure tapping, cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, hypnotherapy and schema therapy.
