Best Batteries

I had mod an auto electrician from best batteries install a alternator in my Toyota RAV4 on the 20/2/23. On labour day this year my car wouldn’t start. I contacted mod and also sent an email to the owner of this business to say I needed it replaced as racq had said that it was a faulty alternator. They emailed me back saying that they would not come out unless I paid a further $453.00 this was after being charged $750 for the first installation.  according to fair trade qld its clearly states that if the item in question is under warranty then the consumer does not have to pay anything and the cost should be born by the business?………after 5 emails and numerous phone calls and texts in the week nothing!,,,i had to pay another $763 to have this installed so I could use my car. I will be taking this company to small claims over this matter as I’m a pensioner and I can’t afford to give away $750 for something that lasted less than three months and the warranty was for 12 months.  - Review Posted By Dawn Johnson On Saturday, May 13, 2023.
