Dr Samuel Rice - Breast Cancer Surgeon

Mr. Samuel Rice's journey in the field of medicine commenced with his graduation from Flinders University Medical School in 2004. His dedication and pursuit of excellence led him to complete his general surgical training in Adelaide, culminating in his admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012.

His thirst for knowledge and specialization then took him to North Shore Hospital in Auckland in 2013, where he delved into the intricacies of Endocrine and Breast surgery. Further honing his skills, he continued his specialization at TQEH Adelaide in 2014. These experiences laid the foundation for his subspecialization, allowing him to develop unparalleled clinical expertise and research interests in various domains, including minimally invasive parathyroid, thyroid, and adrenal surgery, alongside breast oncoplastic and sentinel node biopsy surgery.

Mr. Rice played a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of Endocrine Surgery in Australia and New Zealand. In 2013, he facilitated the RACS ASC parathyroidectomy and retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy course at North Shore Hospital, Auckland, in collaboration with visiting Professor Martin Walz from Germany. This collaboration not only advanced surgical techniques but also fostered international knowledge exchange.

Since 2015, Mr. Rice has been serving as an Endocrine and Breast cancer surgical consultant at Lyell McEwin Hospital, demonstrating his commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. His dedication extends to Calvary North Adelaide and Central Districts hospitals since 2016, where he continues to make a difference in the lives of his patients.

As a testament to his expertise and dedication, Mr. Rice is a proud member of prestigious medical societies including the International Endocrine Surgery Society, the Australia and New Zealand Endocrine Society, and the Breast Surgery Society of Australia/New Zealand.
