About Us
Hi there, I’m Fidel.
I’ve been a guitar teacher for over 25 years. Passing on knowledge and making it easier to access is essential to our evolution of learning.
I started playing guitar in my teens, but didn’t find the right teachers. Through trial and error, I taught myself a lot! There were always resources, workshops, festivals and awesome people along the way that helped me grow as a guitarist. Later on, I studied guitar and advanced musicianship at university.
Music has filled my life with friends and adventures. Guitar, in particular, has always given me a sense of purpose in this world.
Learning guitar never stops, but one thing that people often get wrong is forgetting stop and smell the roses, to enjoy every step along the way. Once you’ve learned to sing, play few chords and hold rhythm, the joy of guitar need never leave you.
I’ve toured around the world with music – working as a session musician in bands and studios. I’ve ended up in some awesome situations because of it. Singing on stage along side Bobby McFerrin and recording in the studio with Fat Mike (NOFX) are a couple of highlights from my humble beginnings in a little town called Geelong, Vic.
I’ve always maintained a passion for music and searched for different, rewarding and enjoyable ways to make it a sustainable career. I’d like to share my musical knowledge with as many people as I can. Starting with you!
