Smoke Alarms new technology not working !?
I decided to change my smoke alarm system for a more secure one, where all alarms are connected. It cost me $850 for 4 alarms in my house that were installed just over 3 weeks ago.The other night, the alarm in my bedroom went off at 2 a.m. Quite a nightmare....When I called to report the issue the next day. I was told to vaccum the alarm and hope it won't happen again !How can the alarm be dirty after only 3 weeks on my ceiling !? And why am I responsible for a possible defect of the system !? I don't have a vaccum cleaner and I don't want to climb on a chair to check the alarm. This is exactly the reason why I paid SO much money.... Not to have to do these types of things !The feedback regarding my situation was very disappointing. I am now worried about the reliability of the whole system in my house and the lack of care I received .... basically being told to wait and see if it happens again !?....
